Chaïm Soutine (eigenlijk Chaïm Soutin) was een Joods-Franse kunstschilder die vooral bekend is geworden om zijn hevige persoonlijke expressie en zijn invloed op naoorlogse abstracte kunstenaars. Soutine was afkomstig uit Wit-Rusland maar vertrok reeds voor de Eerste Wereldoorlog naar Frankrijk.
