AI overview

The Common Pheasant is a large, colorful game bird native to Asia that has been introduced to many parts of the world, including Europe and North America, where it thrives in open woodlands and grasslands. It matters because it is widely hunted for sport and food, making it economically important, and its presence in non-native regions has significant ecological effects on local wildlife and habitats.
