T. englisch Cross-sectional data), von einer Querschnitt(s)studie, Querschnittsuntersuchung, Querschnittsanalyse oder einem Querschnittsdesign, wenn eine empirische Untersuchung (beispielsweise eine Befragung oder Inhaltsanalyse) einmalig durchgeführt wird. Im Unterschied zum Querschnittsdesign wird eine Längsschnittstudie mehrmals hintereinander durchgeführt.
