Gayophytum
Gayophytum is a genus of annual herbs in the evening primrose family known commonly as groundsmoke. There are about nine species of groundsmoke, most of which are native to western North America. These are erect flowering herbs generally well under a metre in height and with narrow leaves. They produce white flowers which fade to pink or red.

Gayophytum A.Juss. – rodzaj roślin z rodziny wiesiołkowatych. W jego obrębie znajduje się 9 gatunków. Występuje naturalnie w Kanadzie (w prowincjach Alberta i Kolumbia Brytyjska), Stanach Zjednoczonych (w stanach Waszyngton, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Dakota Południowa, Wyoming, Kalifornia, Nevada, Utah, Kolorado, Arizona i Nowy Meksyk), północno-zachodnim Meksyku, Chile oraz Argentynie. Gatunkiem typowym jest A.Juss.
