Gotha est une ville allemande de Thuringe, la cinquième du Land par sa population. Chef-lieu de l'arrondissement du même nom, elle est située à 23 km à l'ouest d'Erfurt, la capitale du Land. Gotha doit sa renommée à son rôle de capitale et de résidence des ducs de Saxe-Gotha de 1640 à 1918.
