Ferid Alnar (Hasan Ferit Alnar; * 11th March 1906 in Istanbul; † 1978 in Ankara) was a Turkish composer. He became a virtuoso of kanun,traditional Turkish instrument, at the age of fourteen and he has created his first work at the age of sixteen. Among his works, the most notable work is the concerto for Strings and Kanun orchestra composed between 1944-1951 years.
