Hugo Montenegro (New York, 2 september 1925 – 6 februari 1981) was een Amerikaanse arrangeur, componist en orkestleider. Zijn bekendste werk is afgeleid van interpretaties van de muziek uit spaghettiwesterns, vooral zijn coverversie van het hoofdthema van Ennio Morricone uit de film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly uit 1966. Hij componeerde de muziek voor de western uit 1969, waarin Elvis Presley speelde.

Hugo Montenegro (September 2, 1925 - February 6, 1981) was an American orchestra leader and composer of film soundtracks. Hugo Mario Montenegro was born in New York City in 1925. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years, mostly as an arranger for the Newport Naval Base band in Newport, Rhode Island.
