De Internationale Maritieme Organisatie (International Maritime Organization, IMO) is een in Londen zetelende organisatie die op internationaal niveau afspraken tussen de deelnemende lidstaten bewerkstelligt om zodoende de scheepvaart zo veilig en milieuvriendelijk mogelijk te maken.
