Jiangyin (, Jiangyin dialect: ) is a county-level city on the southern bank of the Yangtze River. It is administered by the prefecture-level city of Wuxi, Jiangsu province. Jiangyin is an important transport hub on the Yangtze River and one of the most developed counties in China. It had 1,595,138 inhabitants in the 2010 census. The city is part of the Jiangyin-Zhangjiagang-Jingjiang metropolitan area, which has 3,526,260 inhabitants.
