Julius Caesar is een Amerikaanse film uit 1953 van regisseur Joseph L. Mankiewicz met in de hoofdrollen Marlon Brando en Deborah Kerr. Het scenario van de film is gebaseerd op Shakespeares toneelstuk Julius Caesar uit 1599. Het toneelstuk is weer gebaseerd op de boeken "Het leven van Brutus" en "Het leven van Caesar" van Plutarchus over de moord op Julius Caesar in 44 v. Chr. en de daarop volgende burgeroorlog in het Romeinse rijk. De film was zeer succesvol in de bioscopen en zorgde ervoor dat het kapsel van Brando in de film een tijdlang mode werd onder jongeren. Ook de critici waren enthousiast en de film kreeg diverse filmprijzen en nominaties.
