Die Lockheed C-5 Galaxy ist ein militärisches Großraumtransportflugzeug, das Anfang der 1960er-Jahre für die US Air Force entwickelt wurde und dort bis heute im Einsatz ist. Bis zur Fertigstellung der sowjetischen Antonow An-124 Ruslan war es das größte Flugzeug der Welt. Von den 131 produzierten Exemplaren waren Ende 2012 noch 73 Exemplare bei der US Air Force im Einsatz.
