6.2In the early 1800s, a group of fur trappers and Indian traders are returning with their goods to civilization and are making a desperate attempt to beat the oncoming winter. When guide Zachary Bass is injured in a bear attack, they decide he's a goner and leave him behind to die. When he recovers instead, he swears revenge on them and tracks them and their paranoiac expedition leader down.

Człowiek w dziczy (ang. Man in the Wilderness) – amerykański antywestern z 1971 roku w reżyserii Richarda Sarafiana. Film, według napisów początkowych i krytyków filmowych, przedstawia autentyczną historię. Jest oparty na przeżyciach trapera Hugh Glassa i wyprawy Williama Ashleya, w której uczestniczył w 1823 roku. W 2015 roku powstał kolejny film opisujący historię przedstawioną w Człowieku w dziczy – Zjawa, którego fabułę krytycy przyrównywali do filmu z 1971. W rolę Hugh Glassa wcielił się Leonardo DiCaprio, sam obraz zdobył wiele nagród, a odtwórcy roli Glassa zapewnił nagrodę Oscara. W Polsce film miał swoją premierę kinową na początku 1975 roku.
