==Synthesis== Methylenecyclopropane can be synthesized via an intramolecular cyclisation reaction from methallyl chloride by treatment with a strong base such sodium amide—sodium tert-butoxide (yield 43%) or sodium bis(trimethylsilyl)amide with further treatment by sodium tert-butoxide (yield 72%).
