Michel Waisvisz (Leiden, 8 juli 1949 – Amsterdam, 18 juni 2008) was een Nederlandse componist, podiumkunstenaar en uitvinder van experimentele elektronische muziekinstrumenten. Hij was sinds 1981 artistiek directeur van in Amsterdam.Hij heeft internationale bekendheid gekregen door zijn ontwikkeling van het, met de handen aanstuurbare, elektronische muziekinstrument de kraakdoos en later .
