パーダーボルン (ドイツ語: Paderborn, ドイツ語発音: [paːdɐˈbɔrn]、古いパーダーボルン方言では Paterboärn、現在のパーダーボルン周辺の方言では Pad(d)aboan) は、ドイツ連邦共和国ノルトライン=ヴェストファーレン州デトモルト行政管区のパーダーボルン郡に属す市である。人口 145,000人を超える同州東部の大都市である。本市は、パーダーボルン郡の郡庁所在地であり、また、旧パーダーボルン司教領地域の上級中心地であり中心都市である。さらにパーダーボルンは南部の最大都市でもある。パーダーボルン (Paderborn) という名称は、本市を流れる (Pader) と水源を意味する古語 Born とが結合したものである。 パーダーボルンには、早くも1614年にヴェストファーレン大学が設立された。現在この大学は独立した神学部となっている。新しい大学は1972年に創設された。この街には9世紀初めからの本部がある。この司教区は1930年に大司教区に昇格した。1802年/1803年までの首都でもあった。ノルトライン=ヴェストファーレン州の地域再編に伴って制定されたザウアーラント/パーダーボルン法に基づいて、1975年に周辺町村を合併して現在の市域を獲得し、人口10万人を超える大都市となった。
