パトリック・ホワイト

Patrick White (1912–1990) was an Australian writer, novelist, playwright, and poet. Born Patrick Victor Martindale White in London, he held Australian citizenship and wrote in English. His literary career began in 1935, and he produced works in the prose genre. Among his notable works is the novel *Voss*.

White received the Nobel Prize in Literature and was recognized in the Nobel Literature collection. He also won the Miles Franklin Literary Award and was named Australian of the Year. Additionally, he was nominated for the Booker Prize. He served in the Royal Air Force and was educated at Cheltenham College and King's College. White died in Sydney.
