Als King's Free Chapel ist sie Eigenkirche der britischen Monarchen und dient als Kapelle des Hosenbandordens sowie als Grablege für zahlreiche Angehörige der Königsfamilie. Außerdem fanden in der Kapelle zahlreiche Hochzeiten und Taufen von Mitgliedern der Königsfamilie statt.
