OverviewAI-generated

A star is an astronomical object, fusor, and light source located in the universe. It is composed of plasma and functions as a light source. Stars are part of star systems and are studied by the field of astronomy. The subject is distinct from the term "Star" and has a next lower rank of planet and a next higher rank of black hole.

Common characteristics of stars include a stellar magnetic field and apparent magnitude. Model items representing this class include UY Scuti, the Pistol Star, and giant stars. The topic is described by sources such as the Bible Encyclopedia of Archimandrite Nicephorus, the Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary, The Nuttall Encyclopædia, and the Encyclopædia Britannica 11th edition. It is referenced by 12,245 other encyclopedia articles.

Daarna volgt Proxima Centauri.
