TOP500（トップ500）は、狭義にはHPLベンチマークによるコンピュータの性能のランキングであり、広義にはそれから派生したGreen500やGraph500などのランキングも含めて指している場合もある。また、そのランキングを定期的に集計し、評価するプロジェクト全体を指すこともある。 TOP500が初めて公開されたのは1993年であり、以降、1年に2回、最新のリストが発表されている。目的は、ハイパフォーマンスコンピューティング（HPC、高性能計算）における傾向を追跡・分析するための信頼できる基準を提供することであり、コンピュータの計算科学応用向け性能の評価に適したいくつかのベンチマークの実行結果によりランク付けが行われる。リストの作成はマンハイム大学、テネシー大学、ローレンス・バークレイ米国立研究所の研究者らが行っており、毎年6月のInternational Supercomputing Conference（ISC）および11月のSupercomputing Conference（SC）の開催に合わせて発表されている。
