Vulcano (Vurcanu in siciliano) è un'isola italiana appartenente all'arcipelago delle isole Eolie, in Sicilia. Amministrativamente fa parte del comune di Lipari. Gli abitanti, 450 nel 2019, vengono chiamati vulcanari. Nell'antichità venne chiamata Therasia (Θηρασία), poi Hiera (Ἱερά), perché sacra al dio Vulcano, da cui deriva poi il suo nome attuale.
