Nach Auflösung der Stadt Lahn wurden am 1.8.1979 Blasbach, Dutenhofen, Garbenheim, Hermannstein, Münchholzhuasen, Nauborn, Naunheim Steinheim und Wetzlar Stadtteile der Stadtgemeinde Wetzlar. Sitz der Gemeindeverwaltung ist Wetzlar.
