La xantoconite è un minerale, un solfuro di argento e arsenico. Il nome deriva dal greco ξανθός xanthòs = giallo e κόνις kònis = polvere. Descritta per la prima volta da Johann Friedrich August Breithaupt (1791-1873), mineralogista sassone, nel 1840.
