Alexandre Levy (November 10, 1864 — January 17, 1892) was a Brazilian composer, pianist and conductor. Born in São Paulo, he pioneered a fusion of classical composition with brazilian folklore and regional rhythms. He was son of french merchant Henrique Luis Levy, founder of Casa Levy, a music store that was part of São Paulo's cultural life in the second half of the XIX century.
