Constantin-Nicolae Silvestri (Romanian pronunciation: [konstanˈtin silˈvestri] ; 31 May 1913, Bucharest – 23 February 1969, London) was a Romanian conductor and composer. Constantin Silvestri received piano training at an early age. He studied at the Conservatory in Târgu Mureș and at the Bucharest Conservatory, among others, with the composer Mihail Jora and the pianist Florica Musicescu. From 1930, Silvestri conducted with the Orchestra Națională Radio, and in 1935 he conducted the Opera Naț
