Joseph Petrosellini (Corneto Tarquinia today, November 29, 1727 -. Rome, ca 1797) was an Italian librettist. He was the librettist at the papal court and member of the Academy of Arcadia and many other academies. He wrote mostly comedies full of disguises and intrigues, which were set to music by the most famous composers of opera of his day and, later, by Baldassare Galuppi, Giuseppe Nicolini, Niccolò Piccinni, Pasquale Anfossi, Domenico Cimarosa, Paisiello, Antonio Salieri, Wolfgang Amadeus
