Con Passione di Gesù si intende la morte di Gesù Cristo che, dopo essere stato giudicato, fu crocifisso. Insieme all'Incarnazione e alle successive Risurrezione e Ascensione, costituisce uno dei misteri centrali del Cristianesimo. Gli avvenimenti della Passione vengono celebrati dai cristiani di tutto il mondo nella "Settimana santa" (la settimana che precede la Pasqua). Le "narrazioni della Passione", in latino Passio, hanno origine dai Vangeli. L'uso sottende la radice etimologica, dal verbo latino patior, "patire" inteso come "soffrire". In seguito il termine si è esteso per indicare il racconto del supplizio subito dai martiri.
