== Taxonomy == === Description === The tribe was created in 1945 by the American paleontologist and theoretical biologist George Gaylord Simpson. According to the Simpson classification the tribe comprises two monospecific genera: Tribus Saigini Genus Pantholops Pantholops hodgsonii Genus Saiga Saiga tatarica
