Thuluth (em farsi: ثلث solos, Turco: Sülüs, from em árabe: ثلث ṯuluṯ "um terço") é um variante da Caligrafia islâmica criada pelo persa Ibn Muqlah Shiraz, que apareceu pela primeira vez no século XI da cronologia ocidental (século IV da cronologia da Hégira. As formas retilíneas e ortogonais da escrita cúfica foram substituídas na nova escrita por linhas curvas e oblíquas. Em Thuluth, um terço de cada letra se inclina, se curva, daí veio o nome thuluth (um terço em língua árabe). Trata-se de uma escrita elegante, de porte maior, usada na época medieval em motivos decorativos de Mesquitas. Dessa caligrafia se derivaram outras com pequenas variações de forma. A Shahada لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله, profissão de fé do Islamismo se apresenta sobre a bandeira da Arábia Saudita – transliteração lā ’ilāha ’illa-llāh muḥammadun rasūlu-llāh - "Não há outro deus além de Alá e Maomé é o seu profeta.
