Esslingen am Neckar ( German pronunciation: [ˈɛslɪŋən ʔam ˈnɛkaʁ], lit. 'Esslingen on the Neckar'; Alemannic German: Esslenga; until 16 October 1964 officially Eßlingen am Neckar) is a city in the Stuttgart Region of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany, seat of the District of Esslingen. Within Baden-Württemberg it is the 10th largest city.

It is located on the river Neckar, about 14 kilometres (9 miles) southeast of Stuttgart city center. The regions surrounding the city of Esslingen are also mostly developed.
