==Distribution== Both species in the genus live in northeastern Africa. The range of Holodactylus africanus stretches from the Maasai Steppe, on the border between Kenya and Tanzania to Ethiopia. The second species Holodactylus cornii has only been found in Ethiopia and Somalia.
