Sem (en árabe: سام Sām; en hebreo שֵׁם Shem, Šēm; literalmente nombre; renombre y por extensión prosperidad, fama) es un personaje narrado en la Biblia, se describe como uno de los tres hijos de Noé, hermano de Cam y de Jafet. Se salvó del Diluvio junto a sus hermanos gracias al arca que su padre construyó. Según la tradición judía, los judíos y los árabes son sus descendientes. En Génesis 5:32, no es en sí mismo una indicación definitiva de que fuese el primogénito de Noé.
