Im Handel ist vorwiegend gereinigtes, raffiniertes Salz. Zur Verbesserung technischer Eigenschaften (Hygroskopie, Rieselfähigkeit) oder zur Vorbeugung gegen Mangelerscheinungen können geringe Mengen hinzugefügt sein.
