Berossos

Berossus, also known as Berosus the Chaldean, was a male astronomer, historian, writer, and priest born in Babylon in 400 BCE. He lived during the Hellenistic period and held citizenship in the Achaemenid Empire and the Seleucid Empire. His professional activities spanned from 400 BCE to his death in 300 BCE, with his work primarily located in Babylonia and Babylon. He wrote in Ancient Greek and specialized in the fields of history, astronomy, and astrology.

His notable works include *Berosi Chaldaeorum Historiae*, *Chaldaeorum historiae quae supersunt*, and *Antiquitatum Italiae ac totius orbis libri quinque*.
