クローン(英語: clone)は、同一の起源を持ち、なおかつ均一な遺伝情報を持つ核酸、細胞、個体の集団。もとはギリシア語で植物の小枝の集まりを意味するκλών klōn から。1903年、が、栄養生殖によって増殖した個体集団を指す生物学用語として“clone” という語を考案した。本来の意味は挿し木である。
