Gherasim Luca (or Gherashim Luca) (July 23, 1913 – February 9, 1994) was a Surrealist theorist and Romanian poet, frequently cited in the works of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. From 1938, he traveled frequently to Paris, where he was introduced to the Surrealist circles. World War II and the official antisemitism in Romania forced him into local exile.
