Sir Neville Marriner, CH, CBE (15 April 1924 – 2 October 2016) was an English conductor and violinist. Marriner, one of the most popular conductors in the world, spearheaded modern interest in Baroque and early Classical music. Marriner has conducted a range of repertoire, but is particularly noted as an interpreter of Baroque music.
