Devido a sua particularidade, é muito utilizado como base para síntese de novos compostos com diversaas finalidades. Nos últimos anos os compostos derivados do pirazol estão sendo testados para ações antibacterianas, antifúngicas, anticâncer, antidepressivas, antiinflamatórias, antituberculose, antioxidantes e antivirais.
